INTRODUCTION

Loop a video on android means allowing the video to play in repeat mode without skipping to the next one. For example, if you have a 15-second long video and loop it five times, the video’s total playing time will be 75 seconds. The 15-second video will play five times over.

To do this, you’ll need to make use of a third-party app. I have mentioned three such apps below: -

1. Loop Video:

The Loop Video app is the best solution for you if you’re using an Android device. You can capture and make interesting loop videos. You can even make the videos loop backward.

One upside of using an app is that you don’t need to create an account or sign up to use it. You need to download it, and you’re good to go. Here’s the procedure to use the app:

  • Go to Google Play Store. Search the name of the app and install it on your device.
  • Open the app and tap the Camera button to start shooting a video.
  • After you’ve shot the video, you have the option to trim it, if needed.
  • Then hit the tick mark button on top. Select the number of times you want to loop it.
  • Then hit the tick mark button and Save.

2. Funimate:

Funimate is a free smartphone video app where users can create video clips, video loops, and slow-motion projects. You can add music, text, and other effects to your videos and share them on social media.

Here’s how to use it: -

  • Download the app from Play Store.
  • Open the application and allow it to access your camera, microphone, media library, and photos.
  • Tap on the ‘+’ sign and select Shoot a video.
  • Select the background music for your video. If you don’t want music, then select Record without music.
  • If you want to record hands-free, you can set the timer. You can also add filters to the video.
  • Click on the top icon from the array of icons on the right side. This is the loop icon.
  • Touch and hold the record button.
  • Once the recording is over, you can edit the video to add effects and sound. You can also loop two videos together.
  • Save the video. You can now share it with family and friends.

3. VivaVideo:

VivaVideo is available for both Android and iOS. It has a powerful video editor and allows you to merge, trim, slow down, speed up or loop your videos. Here’s how you can use this app: -

loop a video on android - YOUTUBE

There are two ways to loop YouTube videos on Android. I’ve discussed both the methods below: -

1. Looping a video on the YouTube desktop version:

  • Open your browser and type the URL m.youtube.com. This way, the browser does not open the YouTube app.
  • Once the mobile version is open, click on the Desktop Site checkbox in the browser menu.
  • Search the video that you want to loop. Zoom in and then long-press on the video to bring up the right-click menu.
  • From the options, click on the loop.
  • You will be able to see the loop option, just like you see in the desktop version.

2. Looping a video in the YouTube app:

The ploy here is to add a single video to a newly created playlist and then loop that playlist.

  • On your phone, open YouTube and play the video.
  • Tap on Add to option below the video. Next, tap on Create a new playlist and give the playlist a name.
  • Go back to the home screen of the app. Tap on the Library option at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to your playlists, and you will see the playlist you just created.
  • Tap on the play button and start playing the video.
  • While it is playing, tap on the down arrow next to the playlist name.
  • Tap on the loop icon to keep playing that single video repeatedly.

CONCLUSION

The mobile version of the YouTube app lacks a video loop option. This is because Google is a commercial business and makes money from advertisements. These include the ads that annoyingly pop up while you are playing a video.

If people start playing the same video on a loop, then the chances of displaying ads decrease. So, a video looping feature is not suitable for Google’s business. However, there are ‘loopholes’ that you can exploit to loop a video. They are not perfect, but you get the job done. Hopefully, this article guided you to loop a video on Android.
