BEST CANON CAMERA FOR FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

1. CANON EOS 5D MARK IV - BEST CAMERA FOR MODEL PHOTOGRAPHY

BEST CAMERAS FOR MODELING & FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 30.4 Megapixel.
  • ISO range 100-32000.
  • Sensor: CMOS sensor.
  • Optical Sensor Size: Full frame.
  • DIGIC 6 plus Image Processor.
  • 61-point AF system
  • In-body stabilization.
  • Viewfinder: Optical.

Features:

Canon's EOS 5D Mark IV is the company's newest DSLR camera. It looks and feels largely the same as the 5D Mark III. The 5D Mark IV is a plus for seasoned photographers who know their cameras inside and out.

The 5D Mark IV also has the ability to support image transfer. to an FTP server through Wi-Fi when it is working in a professional or studio environment. It is the most suitable modeling camera. The camera records 30.4 effective Megapixels so you get a detailed images. The Canon EOS captures stunning pictures and shoots 4K ultra- HD video clips, which are exceptional and high resolution.

From print and weddings to full-bleed magazine spreads and other commercial or acceptable art use, it is versatile in virtually all types of light and any shooting situation.

Design:

The Canon 5D Mark IV is a full-frame body with a moderate size. This camera measures approximately 36.0mm x 24.0mm in size and weighs 1.8 pounds. It is lightweight so you won't find it hard to carry it to different places in the fashion show.  Its elegant design and size make it the best camera for modeling photography.

It has a new 30MP sensor with Canon's Dual Pixel AF, an upgraded picture processor that enables 7fps shooting, and a video engine that can record 4K film.

It's smaller than cameras with an integrated vertical shooting grip, but you can upgrade to a steady camera by purchasing the BG-E20 battery grip. It comes in black color which adds an artistic look to this Canon Mark IV.

Performance:

Canon 5D Mark IV camera can capture spontaneous moments, and it is also the best professional camera for photographing models because it takes about 0.5 seconds to start, focus, and capture an image. For fashion photography, auto focus is important and without it your images will not look sharp and it might lack detail. That said, 30 AF is enough but the impressive part here is this camera is equipped with 61-point AF system. This is massive.

When framing shots with the optical viewfinder in bright light, the autofocus on the 5D locks onto targets in less than 0.1 seconds. In highly dim conditions, the focus system slows down to about 0.5 seconds.

The 5D's Live View focus is quick, taking about 0.15 seconds in bright light and 0.8 seconds in low light to lock on. When using Live View with the 5D Mark IV, the focus is almost as quick as the optical viewfinder.

It divides pixels into halves, allowing the sensor to perform the same fast phase detection autofocus as the camera's dedicated AF module. The Live View autofocus system on the 5D Mark IV is nearly as good as the optical viewfinder. Apart from this, battery life is also an essential factor to be considered, in this aspect, I must say that the camera's battery life is average.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Excellent ISO performance.
  • Dynamic range.
  • Reduced shutter lag.
  • Quick autofocus.
  • 7fps burst speed..

BEST NIKON CAMERA FOR FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

FEATURES:

A higher resolution is crucial for fashion photography. That said, thumbs up for this camera's feature. The Nikon Z6 full-frame camera features a mirrorless camera body and a BSI-CMOS sensor that provides 24.5MP resolution. Technically, this Nikon Z6 camera is the most advanced version of the Nikon revolution.

The latest Nikon Z6 is similar to its predecessor, Nikon Z7, but the sensor makes Z6 different from Z7. It has a sensor of 46 MP. Nikon's full-frame mirrorless system is expected to deliver best-in-class image quality and optics in a small package.

Due to the Z mount's 17 percent larger inner diameter than the F mount, it's compatible with more advanced optics and lens designs, like f/0.95 lenses. Also, this 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor in the Z6 camera allows for all-around shooting, impressive low-light quality, and fast readout speeds that benefit continuous shooting, movies, and time-lapse recording.

DESIGN:

When it comes to design and key handling qualities, the Nikon Z6 provides a pleasant user experience. The build quality is excellent, with a deep and comfortable grip and surprisingly compact dimensions. It is an all-rounder camera as it makes an ideal balance between resolution, speed, and low-light performance.

The camera body feels extremely solid, and you can also click photos with this camera in any weather. Rain, dirt, heat, and other inauspicious conditions should not be a problem for the Z6 and so if there is an outdoor fashion photography shoot, this camera goes well with it.

The Z6 fits right into your kit and workflow. Its ultimate design and the balance between resolution make it the best professional camera for fashion photography.

PERFORMANCE:

Nikon's Z6 is a fast, agile, and responsive camera that performs well for a camera in its class. While it's not the speediest camera around, it's not designed to be nor priced as such. We found it to perform admirably in both lab and field tests, with overall fast 39 AF speeds, it's Auto focus is decent enough for fashion photography, but not groundbreaking.

When it comes to battery life, the Z6 isn't particularly impressive, as it's CIPA rated, which means it has significantly less battery life than a full-frame DSLR. With image stabilization, you can take this camera while traveling to reduce the motion blur. You can shoot a 4K Ultra-HD video with the latest Z6 camera. The 4K Ultra-HD video quality and the image stabilization make it stand out as the best camera modeling photography.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Excellent image quality.
  • Easy to use controls.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi.
  • 39 Focus Points.

Along with the fantastic sensor, the D850 has a maximum shooting speed of 9fps at full resolution. With the tremendous sensor and the impressive shooting speed, the camera also has a buffer capacity of 51 uncompressed 14-bit Raw files. As for the battery, you need an optional MB-D18 Multi-Power Battery Pack and EN-EL18B battery (as used in the Nikon D5) to achieve maximum speed. It will increase the shooting speed, but without the optional battery, it can also click pictures at 7fps. This fantastic feature of D850 attracts fashion photographers. The D850 captures excellent photos as it is compatible with some best Nikon lenses for fashion photography.

The new Nikon D850 sets a benchmark as it can capture high-resolution pictures in a medium format. It is simply amazing.

The grip of the D850 is thin but deep, and it’s a pleasant thing for every fashion photographer. The amazing helps photographers to capture the best fashion headshots. BEST SONY CAMERA FOR FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

4. SONY A7R IV FULL-FRAME CAMERA

BEST SONY CAMERA FOR FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 61MP.
  • Sensor: Exmore R CMOS.
  • Optical Sensor Size: Full frame.
  • Sony BIONZ x processor.
  • 5-axis image stabilizer.
  • Viewfinder: Electronic.

Features:

The Sony a7R IV is a full-frame mirrorless camera with a BSI-CMOS sensor that produces 60.2MP images. The latest Sony a7R provides a more robust build, refined control, the newest autofocus implementation, and many more.

It's undoubtedly a high-end camera, priced accordingly, but it's also an extremely versatile camera with a lot of features, and these features make it the best fashion photography camera. The camera has much more functionality than its predecessors and goes beyond simply shooting high-resolution photos.

With the battery and memory card installed, the Sony a7R IV weighs 23.5 ounces (665 grams), about 10 grams less than the Sony A7R III. You can carry this camera around the fashion show.

Design:

Sony's a7R IV looks similar to its predecessor, but it has made significant changes in several key areas. The camera is dust and moisture-resistant, which will improve its durability and ruggedness. The A7 series of cameras lacks quite enough comfort, according to many Sony fashion shooters.

Taking this point in mind, Sony has revised the design of the front grip. The new grip is designed to be more comfortable, mainly when using longer, heavier lenses. Furthermore, the overhang area for the middle and little fingers has been increased, which should benefit users with larger hands and longer fingers.

Performance:

The Sony a7R IV is an impressive camera; it is considered the best professional camera for fashion photography. Images taken by its high-resolution 61MP sensor are incredibly detailed. It can record up to 10 frames per second continuous shooting. With capabilities such as burst shooting, exceptional high-speed AF, Real-Time Eye AF, 4Kp30 video, and in-body stabilization, the Sony a7R IV is much more versatile than you can think. It has a fast hybrid autofocus where you get 567 Phase detection AF points and 425 contrast AF points to cover more area. And this features allows you to shoot fashion photography in various angles.

Nevertheless, the images are large, and the resolution likely exceeds what most people require. However, if you want maximum resolving power and have the cash to spend, I can't think of a better camera to recommend than the a7R IV.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Vertical shooting.
  • Eye AF function.
  • Good video resolution.
  • Wi-Fi enabled.
  • Crisp images.

REVIEWS OF THE BEST CAMERAS FOR FASHION BLOGGING

1. SONY ALPHA A6400 - BEST CAMERAS FOR FASHION BLOGGING

BEST CAMERAS FOR FASHION BLOGGING

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 24. 2MP.
  • ISO: 100 – 102400.
  • Sensor: Exmor CMOS.
  • Optical Sensor Size: APS-C.
  • BIONZ X image processor.
  • Viewfinder: Electronic.

Features:

Whether you are a fashion photographer  or a fashion blogger, the A6400 is an outstanding camera for you. This fashion camera includes a 24.2MP sensor and a BIONZ X image processor for crisp, clear fashion images. It has sensitivity range between 100 to 102400.

Furthermore, the sensor and processor combination offers 4D FOCUS, a 425-point phase-detection system covering 84% of the image area, and a contrast-detection system for precise and quick focusing. In addition, this focusing system supports Real-Time Eye AF, enabling improved accuracy, speed, and tracking performance for Eye AF, so your subject's eyes will always be detected. Its accuracy and focus system click the fashion model photography in color.

Additionally, Real-time Tracking uses AI-based object recognition and processes color, depth (depth), and pattern (brightness) as spatial information to ensure that all subjects in the fashion show get captured accurately. You can use the mechanical shutter for fast speed and with this the camera can shoot up to 11 frames per second with full AF/AE tracking and up to 8 fps.

The impressive A6400 also shoots 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) movies with full pixel readout. Sony's new a6400 camera features a 24.2MP APS-C sensor paired with an upgraded BIONZ X processor, so that you can click improved image quality and color reproduction in all shooting conditions.

In addition to incorporating many of Sony's full-frame camera's image processing algorithms, the camera suppresses noise while maintaining resolution and improving texture representation.

Design:

With the new 180-degree tilting screen on the back, the A6400 has grown a bit around the middle, but otherwise, it's like looking at practically the same camera.

The layout will be familiar to anyone who has used an A6000, A6300, or A6500, and it is a neat, compact, crisp-looking design. With a super-sophisticated AF system, high-speed continuous shooting, and powerful 4K video capabilities, the A6400 has a lot to offer.

Still, it's all hidden away inside a pretty but generic body. While it only has a 3-inch screen, it still has the modest 921k-dot resolution of the original A6000. Under outdoor lighting conditions, the rear screen becomes not only cramped but also glaring.

Performance:

The high-tech AF specs of the A6400 are as fast and responsive as the camera itself. The face/eye detection followed faces around the frame with no lag at all, and in continuous AF shooting mode, the autofocus responded to changes in the distance almost instantly.

The Real-Time Tracking AF seemed to be a bit slow, as it seemed to lose fast-moving subjects and took at least a couple of frames to locate them again, but that was only when it was deliberately triggered; it tracked relatively slow-moving subjects just fine. It is bulkier than the 16-50mm, but optically much better. It is sharper across the entire zoom range than we are used to seeing with zoom lenses of this length.

Additionally, it's easy to use, neat, and hassle-free. You can see the quality of the still images is excellent. Images appear detailed and sharp, and the color rendition seems both natural and rich. As expected, the exposure system performed well in a wide variety of lighting conditions, and the automatic white balance worked well. This camera is used mainly by professional modeling photographers.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Responsive touch screen.
  • Excellent RAW shooting.
  • 30.0x optical zoom.
  • Face detection.
  • Vlogger friendly.

2. CANON EOS 6D MARK II - BEST DSLR FOR FASHION BLOGGING

BEST CAMERAS FOR FASHION BLOGGING

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 26.2MP.
  • ISO: 100–40000.
  • Sensor: CMOS sensor.
  • Optical Sensor Size: Full Frame.
  • DIGIC 7 Image Processor.
  • Viewfinder: Optical.

Features:

Canon's EOS 6D Mark II DSLR Camera takes full-frame photography to a new level. By improving upon every aspect of image capture and creation, the 6D Mark II makes high-performance full-frame photography more accessible. This gives the fashion photographers an excuse to use it again and again.

EOS 6D Mark II is a powerful DSLR that takes stunning pictures. The images taken from this camera will blow your mind. It is the lightest DSLR in the EOS full-frame DSLR line-up. You can take stunning pictures and videos with its 26.2megapixel image sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and Vari-angle touch screen LCD monitor. The AF is fast, and the touchscreen is compatible with operating the camera from different angles.

Having an all cross-type 45 point AF system and a continuous shooting speed of 6.5fps, you can quickly track and capture fast-moving subjects. With Movie digital IS, the in-camera image stabilization system, you can capture steady footage even when shooting handheld and when using non-IS lenses. In addition, you can also do 4K Timelapse movies and High Dynamic Range (HDR) movies.

Design:

The 6D Mark II is similar to the original 6D in terms of size and weight. In addition to its compact size, it weighs 1.7 pounds without a lens and measures 4.4 by 5.7 by 2.9 inches (HWD). Unlike most SLR cameras, this one is matte black, with rubberized grips that make it easier to grip. You can handle it easily as it has a good grip and it looks stylish too.

The 6D's glass pentaprism viewfinder has a 0.71x magnification rating, identical to the EOS 5D Mark IV. The control layout is similar to its predecessor, which is excellent for photographers upgrading from the 5D Mark IV.

Performance:

Overall, Canon offers good performance. The image quality is good, but the fine detail in JPEGs is a bit diminished by a processing style we've seen in Canon cameras before -- sound noise reduction, but at the cost of fine detail, and with heavy-handed edge sharpening.

An effective noise reduction is demonstrated in the JPEG images and raw files of the 6D II, even at ISO 40,000. However, raw files reveal how much noise is being reduced in the in-camera JPEGs. Overall, the 6D Mark II performs very well in terms of operational performance. In high-contrast lighting, it isn't so easy to guess what the exposure system will do.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Great autofocus technology.
  • Excellent build.
  • 425 autofocus points.
  • Excellent video quality.
  • Saturated images.

3. FUJIFILM X-S10 MIRRORLESS CAMERA

FUJIFILM X-S10

With the APS-C sensor, the X-S10 supports high-resolution still photography, DCI/UHD 4K video recording at 30 fps, ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 12800, and continuous shooting up to 8 fps.The X-S10 also features a bright 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder and 3.0" touchscreen LCD, which supports working at high, low, and front-facing angles, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, for wireless control and images sharing.

The stunning black color and compact design makes the Fujifilm the best camera for fashion bloggers.

Design:

Fujifilm is known for its innovative physical designs, and the X-S10 features an updated layout for shooting efficiency and seamless handling, with the most noticeable change being the switch from a conventional shutter speed dial to normal mode.

A bit like the burly X-H1, the X-S10 has a deeper handgrip that is more "SLR-like." However, it can easily be held in one's hand as it weighs just 465g (1.02lb) and measures (W) 126.0mm (W) by 85.1mm (H) by 65.4mm (D). The X-S10's other noteworthy feature is its more standard exposure controls and PASM mode dial, which is another difference in design compared to a typical Fuji X series camera.

For primary exposure setting adjustments, the X-S10 features front and rear command dials, as well as a dedicated ISO button on the top deck, which helps in clicking iconic fashion photographs. With regards to the screen, the X-S10 has a fully-articulated vari-angle touchscreen LCD with front-facing capabilities.

Performance:

Because the X-S10 uses the same sensor and processor as the X-T4, its AF system and performance features are largely the same as the X-T4. It has the same phase-detection-based autofocus system with 2,16 million phase detection pixels spanning the entire sensor area and features up to 425 user-selectable autofocus points.

Even though the new X-S10 has the same processor as the X-T4, its burst shooting capabilities are slightly different. With the mechanical shutter, the X-S10 is able to capture up to 8 frames per second. According to Fujifilm, the X-S10's autofocus system is capable of capturing focal point in about 0.02 seconds and can operate in low-light conditions at -7EV. Additionally, the camera features high-precision tracking AF and both face and eye detection AF. The outstanding performance of Fujifilm X- S10 makes it the best modeling camera.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • Compact.
  • Affordable.
  • Smooth video recording.
  • Versatile and multi-functional.
  • 16x digital zoom.

4. PANASONIC LUMIX GX9 4K MIRRORLESS ILC CAMERA

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 20.3MP.
  • Optical Sensor Size: Micro Four Thirds.
  • Venus Engine Image Processor.
  • 5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization.
  • Viewfinder: Electronic.

Features:

Lumix DC-GX9 from Panasonic is a compact, rangefinder-style camera that can be used for street photography and other kinds of photography. It also stands out as the best modelling camera. Design wise, it’s attractive and understated, and its amazing feature is its tilting electronic viewfinder, which is useful but also has some disadvantages. There’s a lot to love about this camera, but it’s not without its flaws.

The GX9 comes equipped with a 20.3MP Digital Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor, making it capable of recording 4K UHD movies and taking stills at up to 9 frames per second. With the latest 20.3 MP Digital Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor, GX9 can record UHD 4K movies at 30 or 24 fps.

With this latest Lumix model you can easily capture 8MP still images at 30 fps in difficult lighting with ISO 25600. Design:

The large Live View Finder features an impressive 2.76 megapixel resolution and 0.7x magnification as well as a tilting design to allow the user to work from low angles. You can adjust the aperture and shutter speed intuitively with the front and rear dials on the sleek flat body. Additional top dials for controlling exposure compensation, shutter speed, and mode selection are also provided. The 3.0" 1.24m-dot rear LCD monitor allows for image composition and playback from a variety of viewing angles. It's also a touchscreen, so it's easy to use.

Performance:

Using the mechanical focal plane shutter, the shutter speed can reach 1/4000 sec as well as the sync speed to 1/200 sec. A feature of the electronic shutter is a maximum shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec, which is particularly useful for working in bright conditions and with wider aperture settings.

JPG files in the highest resolution can be captured in bursts of over 100, or raw files in bursts of approximately 30. A more streamline post-production process can be achieved by processing raw image files in camera. When using the rear monitor, the included rechargeable battery provides approximately 260 shots per charge, and when using the electronic viewfinder, approximately 250 shots per charge.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • 2.4G remote control.
  • Excellent night vision.
  • Flexible touch screen.
  • Supports slow motion and time-lapse.

5. NIKON D500 DX-FORMAT DIGITAL SLR

NIKON D500

PRODUCT DETAILS:

  • Pixel: 20.9MP.
  • ISO: 51200 - 1640000.
  • 180k pixel rgb sensor.
  • Optical Sensor Size: APS-C.
  • Expeed 5 image processor.
  • Viewfinder: Optical.

Features:

The Nikon D500 is a 21MP APS-C DSLR camera. It can capture images upto 10 fps. In other words, it's exactly as same as the high-end DX format camera that seemed extinct with the D300S. In addition to focusing and shooting very quickly, the D500 has a lot of other capabilities as well.

To improve its AF tracking capabilities, the 153-point AF module is linked to a 180,000-pixel RGB metering sensor. The D500's AF system offers two parameters for fine-tuning the autofocus tracking behavior, letting you specify how to respond when a subject moves and how to deal with other objects blocking the target.

The D500 can also shoot 4K video and has both an external mic input and a headphone socket for audio monitoring. In addition to flat picture profiles and on-screen highlight warnings, the camera has power aperture control, so you can change the aperture when shooting movies.

Design:

With a large 3.2" LCD display and a 1,359k-dot resolution, the rear LCD monitor allows for clear and vivid playback and live viewing. Additionally, the monitor is a touchscreen that gives you more intuitive menu navigation and settings controls while shooting, allowing you to choose a focus point or a specific area for adjusting the white balance during the process.

For a more lifelike viewing experience, the optical glass features enhanced coatings that increase brightness, contrast, and color neutrality. It has an ergonomic grip and form factor that make it easy to use over long periods of time, plus anti-slip, textured controls, and easy-to-open card slots.

Performance:

Overall performance is excellent. In comparison to older cameras, the new metering module has much higher resolution and is also considerably more capable of dealing with low light. In addition to being very fast and flexible, the Nikon D500 adds a few new features that Nikon fans will love. The camera does well in low light and at high ISO levels, and the autofocus works beautifully. It has excellent image quality.

It is Nikon's best DX camera for sports and action, with 10 frames per second. Although the D5 is two frames per second faster, the DX sensor makes your lens 50% longer, so unless you are a sports photographer full-time, this is Nikon's new best sports camera.

What I liked about this CAMERA:

  • 2.4G remote control.
  • Excellent night vision.
  • Flexible touch screen.
  • Supports slow motion and time-lapse.

TIPS ON HOW TO SHOOT FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

Tips on how to shoot fashion photography helps a lot.

Shooting isn’t a simple task but when you have the right camera and the lens every click becomes easy. I have worked with different cameras and each cameras works differently in different places. Sometimes things go in my favor and sometimes not. But some tips and tricks with the shooting help me a lot. So here are some fashion photography tips which I am sharing with you. • Shooting in a simple light

Excessive lighting degrades the image and makes it appear unprofessional. It's not a good idea for beginner-level fashion bloggers to spend a lot of money on professional lighting equipment. To overcome this issue, choose a location with adequate lighting and give the photo a realistic appearance. This is the best way to click photos with a modeling camera.

  • Try to make the most of the shoot in daylight

The majority of professional photographers shoot primarily in daylight. Daylight photography allows photographers to capture images from all angles and produces the best results. Whether you want to take photos from a 30-degree angle or a 45-degree angle, daylight will always work in your favor.

  • Never mix the light

Mixing the light makes the photo look quite confusing. Working with the same type of light makes the photo look more realistic. You can try to click the photo in the daylight with just a reflector. The reflector will enhance the quality. But if you need some extra light, go with either constant artificial light or a strobe. It will work.

  • Prefer a dark theme in the studio

While shooting on location is ideal, shooting in a studio environment can also be effective. If you want to shoot in a studio, make sure the background is as dark as possible so that daylight doesn't interfere with your scene. It will assist you in capturing the best fashion portrait photography possible.

  • Try to experiment with artificial light

Experimenting with new things is always interesting, and if you want to experiment with the light, it is an out-of-the-box thing. While experimenting with artificial light, I prefer to use a studio strobe or a constant studio light.

Softboxes, umbrellas, and reflectors are examples of lighting accessories that can change the look and intensity of the light. It will help you to shoot the best photographs for fashion modeling photography
